Hi,
Are you connected to the internet on the Oreon 10 machine?
Installing packages and updates requires a network connection.
Yes…that is what is so puzzling. I have been able to install Chrome…surf everywhere…but the Oreon updates continue to generate the error.
Can you open terminal and update through there?
run sudo dnf update
Hi,
We’ve looked more into this issue.
We found out that we have not set up GPG keys to work with Oreon 10’s repos just yet, so we are soon about to push this change and create new ISOs. To fix the issue on your side, you just have to update through the terminal once, then updates will work as intended from the interface.
To update from terminal, run sudo dnf update
Thank you, let me know if you have anymore questions.
OK I ran “sudo dnf update” and there was considerable activity in the Terminal window. But after completed…get a different error:
Invalid package file:package mesa-dri-drivers-24.1.7-1.fc40.x86_64 cannot be verified and repo oreon-extras is GPG enabled: /var/cache/PackageKit/10/metadata/oreon-extras-10-x86_64/packages/mesa-dri-drivers-24.1.7-1.fc40.x86_64.rpm could not be verified. /var/cache/PackageKit/10/metadata/oreon-extras-10-x86_64/packages/mesa-dri-drivers-24.1.7-1.fc40.x86_64.rpm:: Header V4 RSA/SHA256 Signature, key ID 88af4aa4: NOKEY: Header DSA signature: NOTFOUND: Header SHA256 digest: OK: Header SHA1 digest: OK: Payload SHA256 digest: OK: V4 RSA/SHA256 Signature, key ID 88af4aa4: NOKEY: DSA signature: NOTFOUND: MD5 digest: OK
OK. Ran the terminal update twice…then reboot and all is good! Thank you for the great support!
Awesome!
